Bots is a game created by N-Log Corporation and distributed by Acclaim, centered on robot vs. robot combat. The storyline reads that some robots were turned evil by some sort of virus. Therefore, is up to you and your friends to battle them in order to save cyberspace. That's as far as the story goes, after this the only thing you have to do is fight and beat as much robots as you can.

The game is single- and multi-player, however the main focus is on the online element. You create and customize your robot with several different parts and skills. After each battle, you gain experience points that can be used to improve the robot even more. The combat in bots is very fast and sometimes seems like a battle of brute force more than anything. Although you have transformation abilities during combat, there are many PvP battles that will eventually become your soup of the day. Progress might be slow sometimes and combat can get repetitive. This is one of those games that you play for a while, and have to rest from it for some time until you can play it again. But the game is completely free as it features in-game ads. So you might want to give it a try and see if you like it.
